Job summary

Talon Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Draftsperson in Sydney to join a well-established mechanical contracting team. You will draft HVAC systems using Revit, produce ductwork and pipe layouts, and coordinate plant room designs with project teams.

The role offers strong career progression, mentoring, and exposure to a range of commercial mechanical services projects across Sydney and interstate, with a focus on collaboration, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience drafting HVAC mechanical services projects using Revit.
• Experience producing detailed ductwork and pipework layouts.
• Strong understanding of plant room design and coordination.
• Experience undertaking clash detection and resolving coordination issues.
• The ability to coordinate projects independently and work effectively with project teams.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work on a diverse range of commercial mechanical services projects from design development through to delivery.
• Collaborate with drafting managers and senior engineers in a highly collaborative team.
• Progress toward senior drafting, BIM coordination or leadership roles.
• Gain exposure to projects across Sydney and interstate and contribute to project milestones.
