Job summary

RRJV, a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer, is delivering a landmark $1.7 billion Defence infrastructure program across regional New South Wales. We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the team at RAAF Base Wagga and help deliver one of Australia’s most significant Defence projects.

You will work with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, reporting to the Project

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Engineering.
• 5-8 years experience in building, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
• Experience delivering Defence, or institutional projects.
• Exposure to fitout, facades, piling, precast, roofing, services, infrastructure, or commissioning works.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, planning, and subcontractor management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.

• Planning and programming construction activities.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Monitoring project progress, productivity, costs, and quality outcomes.

Spanning RAAF Base Wagga, Blamey Barracks Kapooka, and Albury Wodonga Military Area, this transformational project will create world-class facilities and critical infrastructure that will support Defence operations for generations to come.

About the Role

We're looking for motivated Project Engineers who thrive in dynamic project environments and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver outstanding outcomes.

You'll ideally bring:

• Degree qualification in Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience within building, infrastructure, or major construction projects
• Experience delivering commercial, residential, education, healthcare, accommodation, Defence, or institutional projects
• Exposure to areas such as fitout, facades, piling, precast, roofing, services, infrastructure, or commissioning works
• Strong understanding of project delivery, planning, and subcontractor management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
