Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Chiller Technician to service, maintain, fault-find, repair and commission commercial and industrial chiller systems on site across a varied client base.

You’ll work with York, Daikin, Trane, Carrier and Smardt, bring strong 3‑phase and LV electrical control skills, and perform diagnostics, brazing, pressure and vacuum testing. A Full Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence and a collaborative, lead-by-example approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Full Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence is required.
• Strong proficiency with 3-phase and LV electrical control systems.
• Experience with system diagnostics, brazing, pressure and vacuum testing.
• Hands-on experience with EXVs, VSDs, relays and cloud-based service platforms.
• Teamwork skills with the ability to lead by example on site.

Responsibilities

HVAC Chiller Technician

We’re working with a well-established, privately owned HVAC business that specialises exclusively in commercial and industrial chiller systems. The company has built a strong reputation for technical excellence across service, maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and commissioning — and they’re now looking to add 2 experienced HVAC Chiller Technicians to the team.

You’ll be joining a close-knit, highly skilled crew working on complex plant across a varied client base, with genuine support, structure, and long-term opportunity.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, fault-find, repair, and commission commercial and industrial chiller systems
• Work across major chiller brands including York, Daikin, Trane, Carrier, and Smardt
• Perform advanced system diagnostics on electrical and refrigeration components
• Carry out brazing, pressure testing, vacuum testing, and refrigerant handling
• Liaise with team members and supervisors to deliver high-quality outcomes on site

What we’re looking for:

• Full Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence
