Job summary

CPP is recruiting a Drafter – Secondary to join our established engineering team in Adelaide, supporting renewable energy and high voltage infrastructure projects across Australia. You’ll develop detailed design packages for protection and SCADA, and ensure drawings meet client requirements and standards before manufacturing and construction.

The role collaborates with engineers, project managers and clients to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in secondary electrical drafting – protection relays, SCADA, switch room documentation.
• Experience with Australian utility standards or renewable grid connection projects.
• Experience in the utilities or renewable energy industry.
• Proficiency with drafting software and applying design information for end users.
• Relevant tertiary studies.
• Trade background with drafting experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design packages covering protection and SCADA systems.
• Create interlocking diagrams, single line diagrams, panel layouts, and switchroom documentation.
• Check drawings against client requirements and standards before issuing for manufacturing and construction.
• Support tender designs and coordinate with clients, suppliers and third parties.
