Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Lead Power Engineer to lead the HV power engineering function for Copper SA in Adelaide. You will guide safety-focused technical delivery and governance across high-voltage networks, ensuring reliable operation and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with operations, regulators, and network providers to drive continuous improvement, asset integrity and performance while shaping growth in this critical mining infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Electrical Engineering degree with power systems specialization.
• Chartered status or equivalent accreditation preferred.
• Experience in mining, utilities, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electricity regulations and standards.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a power engineering team focused on HV systems.
• Provide governance and assurance across Copper SA power networks.
• Support reliability, outages, and business continuity with operations teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage audits and reporting.
• Engage with regulators and network providers to meet objectives.
