Job summary

AAMG is currently seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin. This opportunity offers ongoing work with a family-friendly 7/7 rotating roster on heavy mobile mining equipment.

Your role includes inspecting, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage systems while ensuring safety and quality standards. Qualifications include a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and relevant electrical licenses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HV Electrician on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HV electrical systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems.
• Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors, and HV batteries.
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Complete inspections and testing in accordance with OEM and site requirements.

HV Electrician | Mobile Plant | 7/7 Roster | Immediate Start

AAMG is currently seeking an experienced High Voltage Electricianto join a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work on a family-friendly 7/7 rotating day and night roster, working on a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.

About the Role

Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems
• Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors, HV batteries and associated components
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment
• Complete inspections and testing in accordance with OEM and site requirements
• Utilise diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work safely in accordance with site procedures and statutory requirements

About You - To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• Current HV Switching qualification
• Current CPR/LVR
• Standard 11
• Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Proven experience as an HV Electrician on heavy mobile mining equipment
• Experience working on CAT, Komatsu and/or Liebherr equipment highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HV electrical systems
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
