Job summary

Autonomy & Asset Management Group (AAMG) seeks an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin. You will work on heavy mobile mining equipment on a 7/7 rotating day and night roster with an immediate start opportunity.

In the Mobile Maintenance team, you will inspect, maintain, fault find, and repair high-voltage systems, ensuring safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent trade qualification).
Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
Current HV Switching qualification.
Current CPR/LVR.
Standards 11
Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain).
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Proven HV Electrician experience on heavy mobile mining equipment.
Experience on CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr equipment highly regarded.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HV electrical systems.
Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems.
Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors, HV batteries and associated components.
Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
Complete inspections and testing in accordance with OEM and site requirements.
Utilise diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Work safely in accordance with site procedures and statutory requirements.

About the Role

Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
