Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality HV solutions across complex projects. You will provide technical leadership, engage with customers, manage risks, and support project delivery while upholding safety, quality, and commercial objectives.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement and capability development within the engineering group.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in HV equipment, power substations, and project delivery.
• Experience with electrical design, design coordination, SiD, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international engineering standards (AS/IEC).
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities across multiple projects, including design, review, testing, commissioning, drafting support, and site installation.
• Provide specialist technical expertise, resolving complex engineering and quality issues while supporting customers, project teams, and manufacturing facilities.
• Support the preparation of project proposals and tenders through BOMs, engineering estimates, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Contract Managers to manage scope variations, claims, risk assessments, and contract compliance while delivering cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, schedules, and engineering deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to address quality, cost, schedule, and contractual issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, representing the engineering team in project meetings and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to define technical requirements, evaluate supplier proposals, and approve equipment and services.
• Drive engineering excellence by implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with safety and contractual requirements, and promoting continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support engineers, technicians, and project staff, providing technical leadership and contributing to capability development across the team.
