Job summary

Zinfra Pty Ltd in Broadmeadows is seeking an Electrical Network Operator to join as a permanent full-time employee. You will contribute to safe operation, construction and maintenance of the Electrical Distribution System for Jemena (JEN), with rostered shift work and overtime.

Key duties include operating zone substations and distribution equipment, issuing access authorities, testing and commissioning apparatus, providing NOC relief, and interpreting diagrams.

Qualifications

• Experience working on electrical networks and ability to carry out switching activities.
• Experience with fault response and restoration processes.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate zone substation and distribution equipment, including planned and emergency switching on JEN.
• Issue Electrical Access Authorities and related operational documentation for safe network access.
• Test and commission new and damaged apparatus.
• Provide Network Operations Control (NOC) relief activities.
• Interpret high/low voltage diagrams, schematics and construction drawings.
• Work rostered shifts and overtime to support planned and unplanned switching and emergency response.
