Wellington Shire Council is seeking a motivated Human Resources Officer to support HR operations across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to people-focused projects. You’ll help strengthen our culture and support a workforce in a regional community.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements with flexible hours and a Band 5 salary of $77,357–$88,159 per annum plus 12% super. Join a values-driven team dedicated to a positive employee experience.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support HR operations across the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to people-focused projects and initiatives, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our culture and supporting our workforce.

What your day will look like:

As our Human Resources Officer, you’ll be hands-on across a wide range of HR activities, including:

• Supporting Leaders through the Employee Lifecycle processes.
• Administration of end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Administration of staff movements processes.
• Support HR operations with administration, reporting, and record management.
• Contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
• Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate awareness and celebration events that connect and engage our people.
