Job summary

Melrose Built, a premier construction company in Brisbane, seeks a proactive People & Culture Co-ordinator to manage HR and broader operations, including recruitment, onboarding, records, training and team support.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be guided by our external HR consultant and have real growth opportunities as the company scales, with hands-on exposure to development and engagement across the business.

Qualifications

• Solid experience across HR and office coordination (construction experience a bonus).
• Ran recruitment and onboarding, with exceptional candidate care.
• Highly organized, discreet and dependable.
• Clear communicator who speaks up to improve Melrose.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the role.

Responsibilities

• Talent & Onboarding: Driving end-to-end recruitment from ad to offer and setting up new starters for success.
• Compliance & Operations: Meticulously keeping records, training and tickets up to date.
• People Development: Coordinating performance and development framework.
• Culture: Owning the calendar of social and team events to keep head office humming.

What you'll do

You will be the ultimate go-to for everything people-related across the business:

Support and Growth

As the company grows, this role is designed to grow right alongside you. You will report directly to the Managing Director, gaining real, hands-on investment in your development. You will never be left holding a complex problem alone, instead, you will be guided and supported through it, with the support of our external HR Consultant, to empower you to build your capability and grow your own skills and knowledge in more advanced areas of HR.

• Have solid experience across HR and office coordination (construction experience is a huge bonus!).
