Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a seasoned HSEQ Compliance Manager to support its quarry operations across Queensland. The role partners with Quarry Managers and the National HSEQ team to strengthen compliance capability, improve systems and drive consistent standards region-wide.

You will coach site leaders, develop practical tools and templates, and monitor regulatory changes to sustain safe, environmentally responsible operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, safety, environmental or operational leadership in quarrying or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for quarry operations in Queensland.
• Ability to influence, coach and develop frontline leaders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across multiple sites with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance guidance to Quarry Managers and leaders across Queensland.
• Coach and mentor site teams to strengthen compliance capability.
• Partner with operational and HSEQ teams to review, improve and standardise systems, processes and documentation.
• Lead the development and implementation of regional compliance improvement initiatives aligned with national objectives.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and support sites in maintaining ongoing compliance obligations.
• Develop practical tools, templates and resources that simplify compliance requirements and support operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other regions to share learnings, improve consistency and drive continuous improvement across the business.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive compliance outcomes.
