Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an experienced HSEQ Compliance Manager to support quarry operations across Queensland. The role reports to the HSEQ Manager and focuses on strengthening compliance capability, coaching frontline leaders and driving standardised safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in compliance, safety or environmental leadership.
• Strong regulatory knowledge for quarry operations in Queensland.
• Ability to influence and coach frontline leaders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance guidance and support to Quarry Managers and operational leaders across Queensland.
• Coach and mentor site teams to strengthen compliance capability and promote best practice in safety and environmental management.
• Partner with operational and HSEQ teams to review, improve and standardise systems, processes and documentation.
• Lead the development and implementation of regional compliance improvement initiatives aligned with national objectives.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and support sites in maintaining ongoing compliance obligations.
• Develop practical tools, templates and resources that simplify compliance requirements and support operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other regions to share learnings, improve consistency and drive continuous improvement across the business.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive compliance outcomes.
