Job summary

Yurra Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our Karratha team. The role focuses on coordinating, planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing safety and quality measures to minimise incidents.

A key part is training and upskilling our workforce under Pathway to Trade, with FIFO from Perth or Karratha or local residence in Karratha. The successful candidate will drive safety excellence, manage QA and training requirements for national accreditation, and ensure ongoing

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a WHS/HSEQ advisor in civil construction, mining, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of Western Australian WHS legislation, regulations and codes.
• Experience with risk management, incident prevention, investigation, and reporting.
• Experience in quality control, auditing, training and compliance.
• Proficiency with safety management systems and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, implement, monitor and review workplace safety and quality measures.
• Train, mentor and upskill Yurra’s workforce as part of safety initiatives.
• Drive a culture of safety through coaching and leadership.
• Manage QA, compliance, risk management and training to support accreditation.
• Ensure alignment with policies, procedures and client expectations.

The Opportunity

Yurra is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team in Karratha. This full-time role reports to the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager and focuses on coordinating, planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing workplace safety and quality measures to minimise operational losses and incidents.

A key part of this role is training, mentoring, and upskilling Yurra’s workforce as part of our Pathway to Trade initiative.

About the Role

• Full-time position with a 9-day fortnight roster — 5 days on, 2 days off, followed by 4 days on and 3 days off.
• FIFO from Perth or Karratha, or local residential position in Karratha.
• Drive a culture of safety excellence through effective training, coaching and mentoring.
• Manage quality assurance, compliance, risk management and training requirements to support national accreditation.
• Ensure ongoing alignment with company policies, procedures and client expectations.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a WHS/HSEQ advisor in civil construction, mining, or oil & gas projects
