Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE & Training Advisor to join our NSW operations on a permanent basis. This hands-on role will work with site and project teams to drive safety performance, compliance, workforce capability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role supports Narrabri, Hunter Valley and Newcastle sites with travel between locations as required for project, training and HSE activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
• Experience in the mining/resources/industrial sectors.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE and training advice, support, and guidance to project and site teams to improve safety and operational effectiveness.
• Monitor workplace practices to ensure compliance with company standards, legislative requirements and industry best practices.
• Ensure HSE processes, including permits, risk assessments, JHAs and other safety documentation, are completed and maintained to the required standard.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up activities.
• Facilitate HSE meetings, site inductions, training sessions, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement activities.
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Build relationships with Project, Business Unit and Site Management teams.
• Maintain accurate training records and prepare reports to meet compliance and business requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist with implementing enhanced systems and processes.
• Ensure training systems and activities comply with regulatory and company requirements.
• Promote and foster a proactive safety culture through coaching and leadership.
