Job summary

Rauland Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the evolution of our health, safety and environment framework across Australia and New Zealand. The role is hands-on and strategic, building a practical HSE system, strengthening governance and embedding a positive safety culture that supports our people and operations.

Qualifications

• You're a pragmatic HSE professional who balances compliance with operational realities.
• You build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Demonstrated HSE leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS and sustainability legislation and contemporary safety practices.
• Experience implementing or improving HSE management systems.
• Expertise in risk management, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience managing return-to-work and rehabilitation processes.
• Exposure to psychosocial hazard management.
• Experience in climate and packaging sustainability reporting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience within manufacturing, construction, logistics or other operationally focused environments.
• Exposure to ISO 45001/ISO 14001, internal auditing, environmental compliance or sustainability reporting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Building and embedding Rauland's HSE Management System.
• Strengthening risk management and incident reporting processes.
• Establishing Health & Safety Committees and HSE working groups.
• Driving compliance with WHS legislation and psychosocial risk obligations.
• Managing injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Supporting environmental and sustainability reporting requirements.
• Developing practical policies, procedures and operational controls.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and organisational HSE maturity.
