Job summary

Bouygues Construction Australia (BCA) is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support the Operations & Maintenance team in developing, implementing, and improving HSE systems across the company. You will ensure compliance with legislation and company policies and promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator or similar HSE role.
• Experience in solar, electrical utilities, industrial, construction, or Operations & Maintenance environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems and practices.
• Understanding of WHS legislation and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE documentation, systems, and templates.
• Coordinate pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety communications, and training schedules.
• Identify HSE training needs and assist in delivery of training programs.
• Support quality management initiatives and quality system training.
• Participate in safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with incident reporting, data entry, investigation support, and corrective actions closure.
• Conduct site visits to support safety engagement and system improvements.
• Monitor records relating to injuries, hazards, incidents, and absenteeism to identify trends.
