Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent), White Card and current Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in an HSE role within telecommunications, construction, utilities or another high-risk industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE systems, compliance requirements and risk management processes.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with employees, contractors and clients.
  • Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to balance field engagement and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain HSE Management Plans, Risk Registers, SWMS and project compliance documentation.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and assurance activities, both remotely and on site.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, corrective actions and risk management processes.
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety support to operational teams and contractors.
  • Monitor HSE performance, client requirements and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Job description

We are seeking an HSE Advisor to support our Regional & Remote Telecommunications business. Reporting to the Senior HSE Advisor, you will work closely with project teams, supervisors and contractors to implement HSE systems, maintain compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.Based in Tullamarine, this role combines HSE systems and compliance activities with practical operational support. Much of the work is completed remotely, supported by periodic site visits for audits, inspections and stakeholder engagement.You'll provide advice and guidance across a range of operational risks, including working at heights, vehicle and driving activities, remote work, contractor management and other critical risk controls.
