Job summary

DP World Australia is seeking a Health, Safety, Security and Environment Advisor based at Port Botany Terminal in Sydney. This role collaborates with frontline staff, operations and engineering to drive safe behaviours, deliver training, and support continuous improvement across the terminal.

You will advise leaders on WHS requirements, conduct risk assessments and inspections, and help ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and GHSE processes while fostering strong interdepartmental

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar industrial safety role.
• Knowledge of WHS Acts and regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation (ICAM) is desirable.
• Proficient in report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence leaders and workers on health and safety, promote WHS change in the workplace.
• Assist in planning and facilitation of risk management processes (Risk Assessments, JSEAs, Audits, Workplace Inspections).
• Maintain and update GHSE system.
• Provide advice, consultation, monitoring and governance for compliance with WHS legislation, policies and procedures.
• Assist with site visits, inspections & incident investigations.
• Report projected training requirements to the Safety and Training Superintendent.
• Coordinate and assist the delivery of training packages to employees and contractors.
• Review and monitor weekly and monthly incident investigation trending data.
• Develop interdepartmental relationships to ensure training needs are met.
• Liaise with frontline workers to ensure safety processes are implemented.
