Job summary

Sirius Energy is seeking an HSE Advisor for Sydney on a permanent full-time hybrid arrangement (3 days in office) to support safe delivery of wind, solar and BESS projects. The role reports to the Safety Manager and embeds health, safety and environmental standards across development, delivery and operations.

You will lead site inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and governance reporting while collaborating with delivery, engineering and asset management

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
• 3–7+ years of dedicated HSE experience in construction/renewables.
• ICAM investigation training or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
• Demonstrated experience conducting site-based inspections, contractor audits, and risk reviews.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and reporting skills, with the ability to influence positive safety behaviours.
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of the corporate HSE management system.
• Conduct structured site inspections, field observations, and audits across development, construction, and operational assets.
• Assist in hazard identification, risk assessments, and the review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
• Facilitate timely incident and near-miss reporting, lead investigations using ICAM methodologies, determine root causes, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, facilitate metrics reporting to local leadership and the global parent entity, and assist with regulatory inspections.
• Deliver project inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives that elevate safety capability and engagement across internal teams and external contractors.
