Job summary

Journex is seeking an HSE Advisor to lead safety across operations at the Brisbane north site. You will partner with team leaders, production and projects to embed HSE through training, inductions and SOPs aligned to ISO standards.

You will own investigations, chair the HSE committee, and drive risk assessments and continuous improvement with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering or manufacturing settings with ISO standards.
• Willingness to lead safety initiatives and training programs.
• Certificate in Return to Work coordination or equivalent.

An opportunity exists for a HSE Advisor to join the teamon the north side of Brisbane.

This role is five days per week on site.

About the role

As the HSE Advisor, you will take accountability for working with leaders, production and projects to ensure HSE across the operations. You will foster a safety culture through training, inductions, engagement and support of standard operating procedures and HSE systems to ISO standards. Working collaboratively with the team, you will follow up and foster a hearts and minds safety culture, undertaking risk assessments and reviews to ensure continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of HSE, including investigations, chair the HSE committee, HSE systems management and influence safe work at all times.

You will use your strong stakeholder engagement skills to:

• Work collaboratively with Team Leaders to support safety initiatives;
• Drive continuous improvement of company wide processes to improve safety at work;
• Ensuring all activities are managed according to ISO standards; and
• Provide training and support for teams to inspire HSE with a collaborative mindset.

About you

As an experienced HSE professional, you will ideally have worked in engineering or manufacturing industries, whilst working to ISO or equivalent standards. You will also hold a Return to Work Coordinator certificate. You enjoy being able to work with a team to deliver outcomes and your ‘can do’ attitude, influencing skills and attention to detail, collectively will see you foster continuous improvement.
