Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery project in WA. You will provide practical HSE support across SMP/SMPE&I activities and lead incident investigations, driving a proactive safety culture with robust risk controls.

Ideal candidates bring WHS expertise in construction/heavy industry, relevant certificates, and strong communication to engage stakeholders and work autonomously within a large project team.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HSE Advisor role within construction, mining, SMP or heavy industry.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• ICAM, TapRooT or equivalent incident investigation training.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience using HSE management and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative project team.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE support across SMP and SMPE&I construction activities.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and hazard management activities.
• Support risk identification and implementation of effective controls.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Promote compliance with WHS legislation and Civmec's HSE requirements.
• Coach and support supervisors and work crews to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Assist with reporting, data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
