Job summary

City of Perth is recruiting an HR Waste Truck Driver to perform refuse removal and street cleaning services in Osborne Park, WA. The role reports to the Assistant Supervisor and ensures operations run smoothly while meeting City standards.

You will operate heavy waste and street cleaning machinery, adhere to safety and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver reliable services across locations. A night roster offers consistent hours and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Right to work in Australia.
• Fitness for work via a pre‑employment medical.
• Current HR class Australian driver’s licence.
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a waste collection truck and compactor with 3 axles.
• Use of street cleaning plant: street cleaning machines and water truck.
• Drive and operate a variety of waste and street cleaning plant and equipment (road sweeper, footpath sweeper, steam cleaner ute, high pressure ute, high pressure footpath cleaner, front end loader).
• Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with legislation, frameworks and policies.

Your Role

As a HR WasteTruck Driver, you’ll undertake refuse removalservices and street cleaning, that complies with the City ofPerth’s specified work standards. Reporting to the AssistantSupervisor, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operationsrunning smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a waste collection truck and compactorthat has 3 axles.
• Use of street cleaning plant:
  • Street cleaning machines.
  • Water truck.
• In addition to the plant and equipment mentioned above,drive and operate a variety of waste and street cleaning plantand equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Road sweeper.
  • Footpath sweeper.
  • Steam cleaner ute.
  • High pressure ute.
  • High pressure footpath cleaner.
  • Front end loader.
• Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with allrelevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all otherrelevant Council policies and procedures, and otherframeworks.
