Job summary

Recycal Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Truck Driver at our Ringwood HQ in Melbourne. This casual role offers a pathway to full-time, with early starts and a standard Mon-Fri 6:00 am–4:00 pm schedule.

The driver will collect, deliver and change over scrap metal bins, report to the logistics manager, and uphold a strong customer service focus. Applicants should hold a valid HR licence, have prior truck driving experience, and be reliable with a flexible approach to hours.

Responsibilities

• Work with Logistics and Operations Managers to service customers efficiently.

Job description

Our Ringwood HQ is looking for an experienced and reliable Truck Driver who brings a flexible and self-motivated attitude to work every day. As the face of our business out on the road the applicant will have a strong customer service focus and always ensure they are well always presented. The role will entail the collection, delivery and changeover of scrap metal bins, often with the use of a tail lift, and you will report to the logistics manager.

About the Role

• Casual position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.
• Standard hours: Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to collect, deliver and change over scrap metal bins.
• Apply sound judgement when loading, unloading and securing loads.
• Ensure all loads are restrained in accordance with relevant load restraint requirements and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Work closely with the Logistics and Operations Managers to ensure customers are serviced efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Maintain a professional appearance and friendly, customer-focused attitude at all times. (Uniform supplied.)
• Be willing to get out of the truck and assist customers and colleagues when required.
• Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation accurately.
• Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe and tidy condition, inside and out.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum HR (Heavy Rigid) licence endorsement.
• Previous truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience with bin collections, deliveries and changeovers will be highly regarded.
• Understanding of load restraint and road transport safety requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
• Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good presentation and a professional attitude.
