Job summary

Randstad is seeking a reliable HR Waste Truck Driver for a permanent, full-time role in Hume, ACT. You’ll operate HR vehicles on local routes, collect and tip waste, and remain home every afternoon with a 4:00 AM start.

You must hold an unrestricted HR licence, pass police checks and a drug/alcohol test, and be comfortable with overtime and occasional weekend rosters.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) licence with clean driving history.
• Experience in waste management or heavy local transport preferred.
• Must pass a police check and a Drug & Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Operate HR waste vehicles on designated routes (Rear Loader, Front Lift, or Hook Lift).
• Collect, transport and tip waste, recycling, or organics at transfer stations and landfills.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and maintain run sheets while following safety protocols.

HR Truck Driver Location: Hume, ACT Pay Rate: $38.08/hr + Overtime & Penalty Rates ( Gross Earnings up to $2600/week )

Status: Ongoing Contract (Temp-to-Perm potential) Hours: Full-Time hours (Monday to Friday, 4:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Flexibility: Occasional weekend rosters potentially available

Route Operations: Safely operating Heavy Rigid (HR) waste vehicles (Rear Loader, Front Lift, or Hook Lift) across designated commercial or residential routes. Collection & Transport: Efficiently collecting, transporting, and tipping waste, recycling, or organic materials at authorized transfer stations and landfills. Safety
