Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator/Advisor for a permanent, standalone role supporting the Perth BHP and High Capacity Signalling projects. Your time will be split between two Perth offices, working across both project teams and reporting to the HR Business Partner for DIS.

You will deliver proactive, hands-on HR support tailored to leadership and people managers. A key focus is providing practical, on-ground support for people management, governance, and respectful workplace

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in generalist HR coordination or advisory role.
• Experience in a matrix organisation with influencing without authority.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and employment contracts.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across your client group.
• Support managers through performance improvement processes, difficult conversations, and the Performance Management Cycle, including coordinating reviews, objective setting, and input into salary adjustments and succession planning.
• Provide workforce planning support to enable functional leaders assess in-house talent and identify options to retain key people.
• Partner with the Talent Development team to roll out learning, DEI initiatives across sites.
• Manage onboarding, promotions, contract management, cost centre changes, resignations, terminations, and exit interviews.
• Work with Talent Acquisition to monitor recruitment activity and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Support expatriate and visa processes in partnership with mobility, and assist with compensation & benefits activities.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data and ensure employee changes are processed correctly.
• Provide HR reporting, performance metrics, and data insights to support decisions.
• Monitor site HR costs and contribute to broader HR projects.
