Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead the HR Operations delivery within a large, complex organisation in Western Sydney. You will drive digital enablement, process improvement and service excellence while leading a small specialist team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR Operations delivery and improvement portfolio for Tier 0 and Tier 1 inquiries.
  • Oversee daily operations and manage workload, service standards and escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement, partnering with the team to embed technology and self-service.
  • Ensure robust governance across HR Operations, including accurate record keeping and payroll inputs compliance.
  • Monitor KPIs and use data to inform decisions and manage risk.
  • Collaborate with Payroll & Compliance, HRIS & Analytics to deliver a consistent employee experience.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team culture through leadership and development.

HR Operations Manager
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced HR Operations leader to join a large, complex organisation in the professional services sector, based in Western Sydney. This is a pivotal role within the People & Culture function, leading the delivery of core HR services while driving a broader agenda of digital enablement, process improvement and service excellence. You will lead a small team of specialists and ensure HR transactions, compliance and employee support remain accurate, timely and consistent across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the HR Operations delivery and improvement portfolio, managing all Tier 0 and Tier 1 enquiries to a high standard of service and compliance
  • Overseeing daily operations, balancing team workloads, maintaining service standards and managing escalations
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with your specialist team to embed new technology and expand self-service capability
  • Ensuring robust compliance and governance across all HR Operations activity, including accurate record keeping, segregation of duties for payroll inputs and adherence to legislative and enterprise agreement requirements
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, using data to evaluate service quality, identify risk and inform decision-making
  • Partnering closely with Payroll & Compliance, HRIS & Analytics and other People functions to deliver an integrated and consistent employee experience
  • Building a high-performing team culture through strong leadership, coaching and development

To be considered for this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive leadership experience in HR operations or shared services within a large, complex organisation
  • A strong understanding of employment legislation, enterprise agreements and compliance obligations
  • A proven track record of delivering process improvement and digital transformation outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and change management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience using HRIS and other digital tools

Experience within a large complex organisation highly desired, as is experience in business process improvement and transformation initiatives across HR.
