Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is hiring an HR Generalist in Rhodes for a permanent full-time position paying $90,000 + super. Work from home up to four days per week with one day in the office.

You’ll join a small People & Culture team, handling recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, HRIS maintenance, and policy development. Ideal candidates will have a degree in HR or related field (or be studying) and 3+ years in a similar role with solid knowledge of Australian employment laws.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in HR, business, or a similar field (or currently studying).
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or a senior HR generalist position.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and a practical, service-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, inductions, offboarding, and team member movements.
• Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentation.
• Maintain the HRIS and support payroll with accurate, timely data.
• Respond to team member queries, escalating complex matters to the P&C Manager.
• Help ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, Awards, and the National Employment Standards, and assist with policy development and review.
• Support performance management, probation reviews, and compliance audits.
• Lead the coordination of L&D activities and help design and facilitate small group sessions.
• Contribute to engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives, including leading working groups.
• Prepare data for HR reporting, dashboards, and summaries that inform decision-making.
• Support strategic people projects and champion a positive, inclusive culture.

About the opportunity

Step into a varied HR Generalist role within a close-knit People & Culture team in Rhodes. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you’ll be their right hand in a two-person team, getting broad, hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle.

It’s a permanent, full-time role paying $90,000 + super, with real flexibility: work from home up to four days a week, with just one day in the office (onsite parking included).
