The Midfield Group is seeking an HR Driver to join our transport team in Warrnambool, Victoria. You will operate HR vehicles for local livestock transport, load and unload livestock, and support yard operations with a strong focus on safety and animal welfare.

You will progress through a structured pathway from HR to HC/B-Double and beyond, supported by training and mentoring. The role offers career development opportunities within our private, vertically integrated farming and logistics group.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated safe driving record and road safety awareness.
• Ability to handle livestock or willingness to learn animal handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles for local livestock transport in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load, unload, and handle livestock in accordance with animal welfare standards and company procedures.
• Assist with yard operations, including livestock movement and preparation for transport.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic vehicle inspections, reporting faults promptly.
• Follow designated routes, schedules and operational instructions.
• Comply with road safety regulations, fatigue management requirements and company policies.
• Participate in structured training, mentoring, and competency assessments.
• Progress through the development pathway from HR to HC/B-Double and eventually B-Triple operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transport activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement within the transport team.
