Job summary

WorkPac is seeking an HR Driver to operate vacuum trucks for commercial customers in Bohle, Townsville. The casual role covers side-lift/front-lift operations with occasional rear-lift work, Monday to Friday, in Bohle. Start date around 28 September 2026.

You will hold an HR licence and have experience with heavy vehicles, with safety checks and pre-starts required. The position offers a rate of $41.84 per hour, a duration of approximately 1 year, and opportunities to service commercial sites

About the Role

The role involves operating vacuum trucks and servicing commercial customers. The successful candidate will primarily operate side-lift or front-lift trucks, with rear-lift operations also required as needed.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Current HR Driver Licence mandatory
• Experience operating heavy vehicles
• Vacuum truck experience desirable
• Side-lift, front-lift or rear-lift experience desirable
• Strong safety awareness
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift Licence desirable but not essential

HR licence must cover MR, LR and C classes.

Mandatory Checks

Candidates must be able to successfully complete:

• Drug & Alcohol Screening (DAS)
• Pre-employment Medical
• Police Clearance

PPE Requirements

Candidates will be required to have:

• Long sleeve work shirts
• Long work pants
• High-vis vest
• Safety glasses and gloves
• Masks as required
• Steel-cap safety boots
• Wide-brim hat when working outdoors
