Job summary

WorkPac is seeking fit and reliable drivers in Mackay Regional, Queensland, to support earthmoving and transport operations. You will perform pre-starts, inspections, and vehicle cleanliness checks, plan trips, and ensure loads are secured and delivered safely.

Duties include completing dockets and documentation, reporting issues promptly, and adhering to NHVR/DTMR protocols. Rostered 5 days a week with rotating day/night shifts, these 12-hour shifts run 6 to 6 with a 30-minute break, and the

Qualifications

• Current MR/HR/HC/MC licence as per vehicle assigned.
• Inducted for Cement Australia.
• Site Medipass accreditation.
• White Construction Card.
• Load restraint and fatigue management awareness.
• CoR awareness desirable/required, depending on duties.
• Plant or dangerous goods credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-starts, daily inspections and vehicle cleanliness checks.
• Plan trips considering fatigue, route, access, load and delivery needs.
• Load, secure, transport and unload materials or equipment safely where authorised.
• Complete dockets, weighbridge tickets, logbooks and delivery documentation.
• Report defects, incidents, delays, near misses or customer issues promptly.
• Follow NHVR/DTMR road and site traffic management, speed limits, PPE and comms.
• Assist with loading, site support and basic maintenance tasks as required.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct pre-starts, daily inspections and vehicle cleanliness checks
• Plan trips in accordance with fatigue, route, access, load and delivery requirements
• Load, secure, transport and unload materials or equipment safely where authorised
• Complete dockets, weighbridge tickets, logbooks/sheets and delivery documentation
• Report defects, incidents, delays, near misses or customer issues promptly
• Follow NHVR / DTMR road and site traffic management, speed limits, PPE and communication protocols
• Assist with loading, site support and basic maintenance tasks as required

What You Will Need

• Current Drivers License - MR/HR/HC/MC, depending on vehicle assigned
• Inducted for Cement Australia
• 3 Site Medipass
• White Construction Card
• Load restraint, fatigue management and CoR awareness desirable/required
• Plant or dangerous goods credentials may be required depending on duties
