You will safely transport goods and materials, comply with transport regulations, and uphold high standards of professionalism and safety in road transport operations.

Key responsibilities include operating HR/HC vehicles, planning routes, conducting vehicle inspections, logging hours, and maintaining secure loads.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid HR and HC driving licences with current medical certification.
• Strong knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Laws (NHVL) and fatigue management requirements.
• Proven clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate HR and HC vehicles safely and professionally per road transport regulations.
• Plan and execute efficient routes while meeting delivery timelines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logbooks of hours, distances and fuel usage.
• Load and unload cargo, ensure proper securing and weight distribution.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, policies and safety standards.
• Represent MMM Contracting positively to clients and the public.

MMM Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced HR & HC Drivers to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Based in Shanes Park, NSW 2747, this role is fundamental to our operations within the road transport and logistics sector. As an HR & HC Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring compliance with all relevant transport regulations and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This position offers the opportunity to be a key contributor to our company's success in delivering reliable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy rigid (HR) and heavy combination (HC) vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all road transport regulations
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes whilst maintaining strict adherence to scheduling and delivery timelines
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements
• Maintain detailed and accurate logbooks, including hours of work, distances travelled and fuel consumption records
• Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and compliance with weight distribution requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies and workplace health and safety standards
• Maintain a professional demeanour and represent MMM Contracting positively to clients and the public

What we're looking for

• Valid HR and HC driving licences (or equivalent) with current medical certification
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in the road transport or logistics industry
• Full knowledge and understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Laws (NHVL) and fatigue management requirements
• Clean driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading duties as required
• Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (preferred)
