Job summary

Vulcan in Australia delivers steel and metal products across the region, providing hands-on delivery roles with safety and service at the core. This full-time position runs 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday, involving multi-drop runs and strict load restraint standards.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence, Road Ranger gearbox qualification, and proven experience securing loads with straps and chains in line with current regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid HR licence for heavy vehicle driving.
• Road Ranger gearbox qualification is required.
• Experience securing loads with straps and chains per load restraint rules.
• Health and safety checks including pre-employment medical may apply.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries in the local area.
• Assess load safety and suitability before departure.
• Ensure loads are correctly restrained at base and after each stop.
• Identify and report any incorrect or non-conforming items.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service.

Job description

About the Role:

Deliver steel and metal products across the region, providing excellent service to our valued customers. Hours of work are 6am - 2pm Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete multi-drop deliveries in the local area
• Assess load safety and suitability before departure
• Ensure loads are correctly restrained at base and after each stop
• Identify and report any incorrect or non-conforming items
• Deliver a high standard of customer service

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence
• Road Ranger gearbox qualification
• Proven experience securing loads using straps and chains in line with current load restraint regulations
• Previous experience in the steel industry (preferred but not essential)
