Job summary

Vulcan, Australasia’s leading metals distributor and processor, seeks a delivery driver focused on safety and load protection. You will manage multi‑drop runs, assess loads, and ensure restraints are secure while delivering to customers.

The role requires at least 2 years HR experience and synchromesh gearbox familiarity; steel industry experience is valued. Uniforms and PPE are provided after probation, with clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HR experience.
• Synchromesh gearbox experience required.
• Experience with securing loads with straps and chains to meet load restraint regulations.
• Previous steel industry experience is desired.
• Pre-employment medical and drug screen required.

What you will be responsible for:

• Delivering orders on a multi drop run
• Assessing the safety and suitability of a load before leaving site
• Ensuring load is restrained correctly before leaving base and every stop after that
• Identifying incorrect/non confirming items loaded
• Providing excellent customer service to our customers

• Minimum 2 years of HR experience
• Synchromesh gearbox experience required
• Hours Monday to Thursday, 5:30am-2pm Friday 5:30am-11:30am
• Experience with securing loads with straps and chains to meet current load restraint regulations
• Previous steel industry experience (desired but not essential)
