Job summary

Urban Utilities is seeking an HR Coordinator to simplify the employee experience, from onboarding to employment changes and record-keeping. You’ll support a two-year fixed-term contract by providing practical HR guidance and helping improve our services, tools and employee self-service.

You’ll coordinate lifecycle activities, prepare contracts and letters, and maintain accurate HR records in our system, while handling day-to-day queries and escalating complex matters to specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR administration or operations; a related qualification welcome but not essential.
• Confidence managing employee lifecycle processes, employment documentation and sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and experience working with HR systems and data; Workday experience would be an advantage.
• Clear communication and sound judgement when applying policies and procedures, including knowing when to escape.
• An organised, service-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing requests and work collaboratively.

Job description

As our HR Coordinator, you’ll help make the employee experience simpler and more consistent. From onboarding new starters and managing employment changes to preparing letters and maintaining accurate records, you’ll play an important part in keeping our people processes running well.

Working within our People Services function, in the two-year fixed term contract, you’ll support employees and leaders with practical advice on HR policies, systems and processes. You’ll be comfortable balancing day-to-day requests while looking for ways to improve our services, tools and employee self-service.
