Aliaxis is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our APAC HR team, partnering with operational leaders across Australia’s manufacturing network. This hands-on role balances strategic thinking with practical execution, supporting leaders to build capable teams, navigate workplace challenges and deliver business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience as HRBP or senior HR generalist in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and manage employee relations.
• Exposure to enterprise agreements and industrial relations is advantageous.
• Experience with organisational change and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to deliver people strategies aligned to business goals.
• Coach leaders on performance, engagement, and development.
• Advise on employee relations, investigations and disciplinary matters.
• Support enterprise agreements interpretation and implementation.
• Contribute to bargaining preparation and IR activities.

About the Role

Smithfield location, hybrid role, WFH available 8 Manufacturing sites Australia wide Opportunity to make a real impact in a business where people partnership is valued and trusted. We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our APAC HR team and partner closely with operational leaders across our manufacturing network. This is a hands-on role where you'll balance strategic thinking with practical execution, helping leaders build capable teams, navigate workplace challenges and deliver business outcomes. Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational and functional leaders to deliver people strategies aligned to business goals.
• Coach and support leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement and team development.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance issues, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Support industrial relations initiatives, including the interpretation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and workplace legislation.
• Contribute to bargaining preparation, implementation planning and broader industrial relations activities where required.
• Drive key people processes including performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning and remuneration programs.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and business transformation initiatives.
• Support the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs, including leadership development, learning initiatives, DE&I and employee engagement activities.
• Use people insights and workforce data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and safety-focused culture across manufacturing operations.

About You

You are a pragmatic and relationship-focused HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders to solve problems, build capability and support organisational success. You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Experience partnering with leaders in manufacturing, industrial, operational or similarly complex workforce environments.
• Strong employee relations capability, with experience managing workplace matters and coaching leaders through people challenges.
• Exposure to industrial relations and unionised environments, including Enterprise Agreement interpretation and implementation.
• Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning and business transformation initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence and build credibility with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to balance people outcomes with business needs.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
• Experienced with HRIS systems such as Workday or Workable is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required.
