Job summary

The Next Step Recruitment Company in Rhodes NSW is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client’s high-performing HR team on a 3-month contract. You will support a multi-state workforce, focusing on employee relations and practical, commercially minded guidance.

Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, you will manage ER matters, investigations, grievances and coach leaders, while building strong stakeholder relationships. Immediate start available; 4 days onsite.

• Proven experience managing complex ER matters.
• Strong employment law and employee relations knowledge.
• Experience across investigations, grievances and performance management.

About them

Our client is a well known Australian organisation with a large, geographically dispersed workforce and a lean, high performing HR team. Due to an immediate requirement, they are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join the team for a 3 month contract, with potential for extensions.

About the role

Reporting into the Head of Shared Services, you'll support a client group of approximately 700-800 employees across multiple states.

This is a hands on role with a strong employee relations focus, supporting leaders through a high volume of people matters while providing practical, commercially minded advice.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing performance and conduct matters
• Workplace investigations and grievances
• Coaching leaders through employee relations issues
• Providing timely, risk based advice and guidance
• Supporting leaders within a leader led HR model
• Building strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group

About you

We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor who is comfortable operating autonomously and can quickly establish credibility with key stakeholders.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience managing complex ER matters
• Strong employment law and employee relations knowledge
• Experience across investigations, grievances and performance management
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A practical and commercially focused approach
• The confidence to hit the ground running
