Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Australia is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with our ANZ leadership. The role encompasses strategic and hands-on HR across talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and organisational change.

Reporting to the HR Director ANZ, you will enable business performance by delivering pragmatic people solutions, building trusted relationships, and driving a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• HRBP or generalist HR role with 5+ years experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to partner with our Australian business.

Reporting to the HR Director ANZ, you'll play a key role in supporting leaders and employees across the organisation, helping drive business performance through effective people strategies and practical HR solutions.

This is a broad generalist role where you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders, providing both strategic and hands‑on support across talent acquisition, employee relations, workers' compensation, performance management, engagement, learning and development, and organisational change.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy building strong relationships, influencing outcomes, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Provide practical HR advice and coaching on employee relations, performance management, investigations and workplace issues.
• Manage workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Support learning, leadership development and capability‑building initiatives.
• Drive performance, talent management, employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Champion a positive workplace culture, health, safety and wellbeing.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
• Contribute to HR projects, process improvements and organisational change initiatives.

About You

You are a pragmatic and commercially minded HR professional who builds strong relationships and influences confidently across all levels of the business. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy balancing people outcomes with business needs.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, employee relations and HR best practice.
• Experience managing complex workplace matters, investigations and performance issues.
• Proven experience in workers’ compensation and injury management, ideally in a blue‑collar environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational and communication capabilities.
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or other operational environments will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to HR systems, process improvement or transformation projects is advantageous.
