Job summary

Sacred Heart Mission is hiring a Peer Settlement Support Worker in Victoria, Australia. You will use your lived experience to support participants transitioning from homelessness to stable housing through peer support and community connections.

The role is a maximum-term, full-time position starting asap and ending 31 March 2028, with flexible work arrangements and a strong focus on lived-experience voice within the J2SI program.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of resettling after homelessness.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to adapt to participants' needs and include their voice.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and help participants transition to stable housing.
• Drive to participants' homes or local communities to build connections.
• Collaborate with staff to link participants to community opportunities.
