Job summary

GMW Cleaning Services on the Gold Coast seeks a reliable Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee guest rooms and public areas in Palm Beach. You will ensure hygiene standards and supervise room turnover with support from the team.

You will roster staff, coordinate with the Operations Manager on trainings, and report issues to senior management. Long-term commitment and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work to tight deadlines and motivate the housekeeping team.
• Availability: 7 days per week essential.
• Weekend/public holidays during busy times may be required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment and/or 4-5 star hotel housekeeping.
• Seeking to remain long term.
• Must have permission to work in Australia.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to work with us at our clients' apartments in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast Queensland.

Tasks include but not limited to:

Maintaining the property's cleaning and hygiene standards in guest rooms and public areas.

Cleaning a set amount of rooms per shift and checking cleaned rooms behind the Room Attendants to ensure the property's cleaning standards are being met.

Assisting and liaising with our Operations Manager with staff training, staff re-fresher training, keeping record of onsite toolbox talks and keeping the senior management team updated with operations onsite.

Rostering staff, and reporting issues to the senior management team so they can liaise with the property.

Requirements

Must be able to work to tight deadlines and motivate the housekeeping team to do the same.

Availability: 7 days per week essential. You may be required to work weekends/public holidays during busy times.

Minimum 1 year experience in apartment and/or 4-5 star hotel housekeeping experience is required.

Seeking to remain long term.

Reliable, customer-focused, and ability to work in a team environment.

Must have permission to work in Australia.
