Job summary

Quest Jolimont and Quest East Melbourne is seeking a reliable housekeeping team member to clean studio apartments and maintain public areas in East Melbourne. Shifts run roughly 9:00am to 2:30/3:00pm with part-time hours and occupancy-based variations.

Ideal candidates are flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting and pushing trolleys. Previous housekeeping experience is essential, with hospitality experience highly regarded; weekend and public holiday

As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you'll play a key role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. Shifts typically run 9:00am – 2:30/3:00pm, with hours varying in line with occupancy — most team members work around 15–30 hours per week. Weekend and public holiday availability is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning and servicing studio style apartments
• Maintaining common areas to a high standard
• Stripping beds and preparing used linen for collection, and restocking fresh linen
• Reporting maintenance issues so we can keep the property in top condition
• Working efficiently and to Quest brand standards, in line with guest needs and occupancy levels

• Able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable with a physically active role — you'll be on your feet, lifting, and pushing trolleys
• Safety-conscious and respectful in all guest interactions
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (essential)
• Hospitality, tourism, or travel industry experience (highly regarded)
• Availability across various shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Entitled to work in Australia
• Paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award — Guest Service Grade 2 (25% loading for casuals; paid leave entitlements for part-time), plus weekend and public holiday penalty rates
