Job summary

Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough Suites, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding its housekeeping team with casual opportunities. You will clean guest rooms to high standards, manage tasks efficiently, and work as part of a collaborative team to achieve daily targets and maintain safety and quality.

Training on chemicals and equipment is provided, with shifts across mornings to evenings at flexible hours. The role offers casual hours with rotating rosters, and hourly rates reflect experience and weekend

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting and standing.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)

Monday - Friday: $27.08 per hour
Saturday: $33.85 per hour
Sunday: $40.62 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
