Job summary

Infinite Aged Care Pty Ltd seeks a hands-on kitchen assistant to support food preparation, plating, and meal service in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. You will assist with dietary requirements, including texture-modified and allergen-aware meals, while upholding high cleanliness and safety standards.

Reporting to the Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team, you will help set up dining rooms, rotate equipment, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver quality meals to residents.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience (or a strong interest in developing these skills).
• Students planning Commercial Cookery studies who want to build practical, hands-on skills that directly support their training.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail skills.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment and have the availability to support a variety of shifts.

Join a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment where you'll build hands-on skills in food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations. Working with our Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team, you'll help deliver high-quality meals that make a real difference in residents' daily lives.

This role is a physical & fast paced with a lot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You

NOT suitable for candidates studying personal care or nursing, as training and development focus exclusively on commercial cookery and kitchen operations.
