Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking a casual Hotel Services Assistant for Andrews House Aged Care in Trafalgar. You will join a team handling food service, cleaning and laundry tasks, reporting to the Hotel Services Supervisor.

The role supports leave coverage with shifts ranging from early mornings to evenings. Mandatory Safe Food Handling certification and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Safe Food Handlers Certificate - HLTFSE001 or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed work procedures and dietary information.
• Previous customer service experience will be highly regarded.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hotel Services team at Andrews House Aged Care in Trafalgar. Reporting to the Hotel Services Supervisor, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team of food services assistants, housekeepers and cleaners.

The position covers a range of routine food, internal cleaning and laundry tasks at Andrews House. We are looking for multiple casual positions t o cover annual leave, sick leave and vacant positions.

The shift times ranges from

• 6.30am – 3.00pm,
• 7.30am – 16.00 pm
• 10.30am-19.00 pm
• 11.30am – 20.00pm

Our preferred candidates will have:

Mandatory

• Safe Food Handlers Certificate - HLTFSE001 or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed work procedures and dietary information.
• Previous customer service experience will be highly regarded.

Desirable

• Previous experience in either cleaning or food service within an aged care setting.
• Previous experience working within a large work group.

IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
