Job summary

Iris Hotels is seeking a passionate Full Time Operations Manager to manage operations at Mercure Alice Springs Resort in Alice Springs, NT. The role covers Front Office, Reservations, Night Audit and Housekeeping, driving service excellence and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate leads the FO team, collaborates with the General Manager on strategies for revenue growth and cost control, ensures compliance, and maintains high standards of quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a hotel with a focus on hotel operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests and team members.
• Confident communicator, negotiator and relationship builder.
• Flexible and capable of adapting to change.
• Available to work a rotating roster, including weekends, holidays and nights.
• Solid knowledge of Opera/Opera Cloud, Outlook and Office applications.
• Guest-focused mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership qualities and cross-department collaboration.
• Holds a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Monitor and manage budgets, stock, and operational expenses.
• Act as a leader during peak service times, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Salary Range $83,000 - $85,000

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a hotel – a strong focus and passion for hotel operations
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all types of guests and of team members
• Confident and articulate communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder
• Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
• Available to work within a rotating roster, including weekends, holidays and nights
• Strong working knowledge of Opera/ Opera Cloud, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Guest obsessed focus with the ability to flex in a fast paced and ever changing environment
• Leadership qualities, with the ability to extend yourself to assisting your colleagues where needed, maintaining high levels of communication with other departments
• Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, financial management, and compliance.
