Job summary

Minor Hotels' Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes to high standards, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

We require at least 12 months of cook/kitchen experience, good teamwork and flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Hourly rates start from AU$33.85 to AU$47.39, with rotating rosters across breakfast and dinner periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking and plating.
• Cook dishes in line with menu standards.
• Ensure excellent presentation before service.
• Maintain food storage, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and WHS compliant.
• Support team for smooth daily operations.
