Job summary

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Interest in trades and willingness to pursue training through TAFE.
• Basic plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks willingness.
• Good time management and ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Solid understanding of Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces.
• Provide painting services as needed across the hotel.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment, keeping everything running as it should.
• Respond promptly to staff and guest repair requests, resolving issues with minimal disruption to their day.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth day-to-day hotel operations.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
• Maintain a positive, professional approach in all guest and staff interactions.
