Job summary

EVT Limited's Atura Oran Park hotel is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee payroll, cost control and reporting from day one.

You will partner with the General Manager and department heads to drive budgeting, forecasting and financial accuracy across the hotel.

This role offers growth in a dynamic multi-site portfolio within EVT's growing entertainment and hospitality network.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in finance roles within hotels, hospitality or multi-site environments.
• Strong payroll processing knowledge and compliance.
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations and payments.
• Complete daily banking, revenue reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and timely reporting.
• Process payroll accurately, ensuring compliance with awards and policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis; advise leadership.
• Maintain internal controls and assist department leaders on performance.
• Coach finance team and collaborate with Hotel Leadership Team.

About the Role

You’ll run the numbers behind one of Sydney's most anticipated new hotel openings. From payroll and cost control to reporting and business advice, you’ll keep Atura Oran Park's finances sharp and its leaders informed. Hands on, high impact, yours to shape from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end to end accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, reconciliations and payment runs
• Complete daily banking, revenue reconciliations, cash controls and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and monthly, half yearly and yearly general ledger reporting
• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with Awards, payroll legislation, taxation requirements and company policy
• Support stocktakes, inventory reconciliations and food and beverage cost control, including daily revenue and F&B tracker reporting
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and provide sound business advice to the General Manager and Department Managers
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures and reporting requirements
• Coach and develop finance and business support team members within the hotel
• Partner closely with the Hotel Leadership Team, bringing a commercial and operational finance focus to every conversation

What You’ll Bring

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience in a similar finance or accounting role, ideally within hotels, hospitality or another multi site environment
• Confidence across accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes
• Working knowledge of payroll processing, Award interpretation and payroll compliance
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working across accounting and hotel systems
• A sharp eye for detail and a genuine interest in cost control, stock management and reporting accuracy
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to partner with General Managers and Department Managers on business performance
• A proactive, hands on approach and genuine enthusiasm for being part of a new hotel opening
