Job summary

Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) seeks a Host Ranger for the Three Capes Track to welcome walkers and guide them along the 48-kilometre coastal track. You will provide information, interpretation and practical support, delivering memorable experiences in a premier Tasmanian destination.

In addition to exceptional customer service, you will manage bookings and maintain visitor cabins, bringing the landscape to life with stories about natural and cultural heritage

Qualifications

• Strong storytelling ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Passion for the outdoors, natural and cultural heritage.
• Physical fitness and bushwalking experience.
• Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• Wilderness and/or Workplace Level 2 First Aid qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, information and assistance to visitors on the Three Capes Track.
• Ensure visitors have access to accurate information, interpretation and practical support.
• Engage guests through storytelling and knowledge of area heritage.
• Manage bookings and maintain visitor cabins to a high standard.
