The Dolphin Hotel in Surry Hills is seeking a Venue Host to oversee the welcome desk and assist with function coordination. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced setting and bring a friendly, professional presence to every guest.

Key duties include greeting and seating guests, coordinating events with flair, and ensuring guests feel looked after. Weekend availability is a must, with clear communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality is preferred or eager to grow in hospitality roles.
• Excellent communication and presence in a fast-paced guest environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage guest flow during events.

We're on the lookout for someone to join our team as Venue Host - overseeing the welcome desk and assisting in function/event coordination. The ideal person will be:

• Confident, well-presented, and highly organised
• A strong communicator with a personality that lights up the room
• Experienced in hospitality - or genuinely eager to grow and develop their skills

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be right at the heart of the action, taking care of:

• Greeting and seating guests in our busy dining room
• Coordinating events & functions with confidence and flair
• Making sure guests always feel looked after
• Managing table turnover tactfully and efficiently
• Making quick, smart decisions when things get busy
• Communicating clearly with both guests and team members
